Calligraphy is a Greek word ‘kallos’ means beauty and ‘graphy’ means writing so collectively as beautiful writing. There is no doubt in this fact that Calligraphy got its peak importance in the Islamic Era. Before this Calligraphy was not so much importance other way of expressions such as the idol making and stone carving were more famous for information. Writing was present but not for long term purposes.

In Muslim era the Calligraphy became more importance on the building like fort, worship places (Mosques) and historic places every place where there were idol making and stone carving was done Calligraphy was being done instead. So Muslim gave the complete turn to the historic way of conveying information from the idols and stone carving to Calligraphy because all the previous ways are false and forbidden by Allah Almighty. Therefore in the Egyptian, Greek and Indian culture all other parts of Islamic world where there idol making and stone carving was done now after the Muslim era all these Civilizations under Islamic rules have adopted Calligraphy for Historic signs and stories.
