Now is the first lesson as of Art Studio — a female eye. My way in graphite pencil drawing aims to make subjects as realistically as I am able to. The following is a step-by-step expression of how I draw eyes. While I very a great deal hope so as to it helps you in drawing practical eyes, do experiment and develop your own way of drawing. I for myself sometimes do not follow a number of of the steps precisely as I like to trial and try to find better ways of achieving an exact texture or effect. Before I begin a lot of thanks to Toni-Marie Hudson for the use of her picture. Toni-Marie does animal paintings in varied media. Visit her web site to sight her extremely realistic paintings.

Step 1

The outline on Canson Grain. Since the draw round was very light and will probable be smudged off when I start rendering or shading, I have carefully and lightly retraced the lines by means of a soft pencil. In this case, a Faber-Castell 0.5 mm 2B automatic pencil.

Step 2

By a soft brush curved in in little amounts of graphite powder, I wrap the outline with two or three layers of quality. Any brush can be used as long as it produces an extremely smooth result and fills in the fang of the paper. I try to avoid receiving tone on the highlight of the iris. If I do obtain any graphite there, I tap the area by means of a clean kneaded eraser.

Step 3

Using a lesser version of the brush I used in the preceding step, I begin form the shapes of the eye by defining the dark areas…

Step 4

By means of a kneaded eraser, I cleaned up the tourist attractions.

Step 5

I second-hand a Dong-A 0.5 mm 2B automatic pencil to draw the darkest area like the pupil, shadow on top of the upper part of the iris plus the crease of the higher eyelid.

Step 6

Concentrating on top of the iris for at the present, I use a firm pencil (5H Staedtler) and fairly firm pressure to draw spokes originate from the pupil. This determination keeps the paper from absorbing a group of graphite in the next stage.

Step 7

Have used a 5H on the preceding stage, I can now draw dark shades on the iris by a dark pencil (2B automatic pencil). The reason why I use 2B is since it spreads more with no trouble. The 5H is also to keep the tone very smooth when darker tone is added.

Step 8

I additional worked on the iris erase and adding graphite as a great deal as wanted to make varied tones. Touching on to the white of the eye, it is also covered by means of a layer of 5H to create a flat effect. Then I used a 2B automatic pencil on the shade areas to form the eyeball.

Step 9

Here I begin working on top of the skin. Using a 0.5 mm HB automatic pencil and a light circular movement, I added tones to the upper eyelid plus the nearby skin – starting first on an region which will receive additional graphite (in this container, the skin approximately the crease) and touching towards lighter areas. I used a supermarket towel and a brush to smoothen absent rough acne.

Step 10

Sustained with the lower division of the skin.

Step 11

Motionless continuing by means of the HB automatic pencil. I’ve now additional shadows to the skin. The 5H Staedtler pencil is also used on the thickness of the inferior eyelid. 2B automatic pencil was second-hand for its darker areas.

Step 12

To make the wrinkles on the skin, I carelessly drew lines with the HB automatic pencil and after that used a kneaded eraser to make fine highlights beside each line. A paper base and a brush were used to make softer and blend the lines. The same technique used on the white of the eye was also used on the tear channel. The HB was used for the eyebrow — opening with the root of each hair and lessening force towards the tip.

Step 13

I forever try to keep as of drawing the eyelashes awaiting the skin underneath is over. Since the higher eyelashes determination is darker than the lower eyelashes or the eyebrow, I used a Dong-A 2B mechanical pencil which is a great deal darker than a Faber-Castell of the similar grade. Again, next the direction of growth plus starting from the root, lessening pressure as I come to the tip. Reflections of the eyelashes be also drawn on the highlight of the iris.

Step 14

The inferior eyelashes were drawn by means of the Faber-Castell 2B mechanical pencil.

Step 15

The final eye. Finishing touch was made and a number of of the highlights on the lower eyelid were dull a little. I hope you find these ladder and images informative plus helpful.

Blissful drawing,
